About

The world behind objects

My background in industrial design taught me how to design objects for our world. But what really interests me is imagining them for worlds that do not exist and making them believable enough that we want to believe in them.

My interest in cinema naturally led me to set design. That’s where I began to see objects differently, as fragments of a wider world. It’s never really the object itself that interests me first and foremost, but the world to which it belongs.

For my diploma project, I wrote a script to bring a series of objects to life. This project made me realise that it is in this space, between design and fiction, that I want to continue my exploration.

I haven’t found one single way to tell stories through objects. I like to explore, experiment, share and blend disciplines to see just how far an object can make us believe in a world that doesn’t exist.
